Things To Do
The Isle of Colonsay has so much to see and do, a small island with enough to fill a week's holiday or more! As well as walking, cycling, watching the wildlife or beachcombing, the island has an 18 hole links golf course, native brown trout fishing on the lochs, guided nature walks and a unique challenge of attempting to climb all the MacPhies (hills) in a day!
There are destinations not be missed including the Colonsay House gardens and cafe, the ancient priory on Oronsay, the Heritage centre and the micro brewery.
The Isle of Colonsay has more festivals than any other island. Starting with the Book Festival in April, moving on to the Festival of Spring in May, the Folk Festival in September and concluding with the Autumn Food and Drink festival in October.
In the summer there is a ceilidh in the village hall on Saturday nights.
